The Good for you Gourmet

About Chef Laura

Laura Moore began her career as a whole foods chef in 1998, as a vegan and vegetarian recipe contributor to "Fresh Piks Organics" newsletter. Her loyal following of recipe lovers were soon asking her to cook for them, privately and for special events. Her passion for making and eating wholesome, natural foods, and deep green interest in the earth-friendly practices of recycling and composting soon blossomed into Victoria’s first green, whole foods personal chef and caterer. Laura’s company, the Good For You Gourmet, offers a convenient, gourmet, whole-foods Personal Chef and Catering service to residents and visitors to southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

Laura’s mission is to support her clients’ health by providing them with a wide variety of wholesome, health-supporting and delicious seasonal menu selections, with respect for each clients personal dietary preferences. Whether she is preparing meals for a family or catering a special event, teaching a group or private cooking class, she will use only the finest unmedicated, free range or organic meat, dairy and produce, heritage grains, natural sweeteners and whole food products, cold-pressed organic, non-hydrogenated good oils and fats, non-gmo, non-irradiated herbs and spices, and sea salt. Laura can be found with her son, Lucas, at her booth at the Organic Islands Festival. Be sure to visit us next year. (insert photo of me with Luke here)
